Feedseeker is a browser extension that helps users sort Instagram posts by engagement metrics. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

How the Extension Works

Feedseeker operates entirely within your browser:

1. Reads publicly visible Instagram post data (likes, comments, timestamps) from pages you visit
2. Processes and sorts this data locally in your browser
3. Displays sorted results directly in your browser
4. Saves your preferences (sort settings, panel state) locally using Chrome's storage API

All data processing happens on your device. Nothing leaves your browser.

Permissions

The extension requires the following permissions:

• activeTab: To access the current Instagram page when you click the extension icon
• storage: To remember your preferences (sort settings, panel position)
• instagram.com: To read post data and inject the sorting interface
• scripting: To add the Feedseeker panel to Instagram pages

These permissions are used solely for the extension's core functionality.

Data Storage

The only data stored is:

• Your sort preferences (likes/comments/time)
• Panel state (open/closed, minimized/expanded)
• Scan settings (post count or days)

This data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API and is never transmitted anywhere.

Third-Party Services

We do not use any third-party services, analytics, or tracking tools.

Children's Privacy

Our extension does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Data Security

• No sensitive data is stored permanently
• All processing happens locally in your browser
• No data transmission to external servers

Your Rights

Since we don't collect any data, there is no personal information to access, modify, or delete.

You can clear locally stored preferences at any time by:

• Uninstalling the extension
